Currency

The currency is the Danish Krone (DKK), 1 DKK = 10 aures. The currency is issued in coins of 25 and 50 aures and of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 crowns. There are also bills of 50, 100, 500 and 1000 crowns. The Danish Krone is not part of the dollar currency, or at least, not yet.

Business hours

Banks open Monday to Friday from 9:30 / 10:00 to 16:30/17:00, they stay open later on Thursdays. Credit cards are accepted everywhere and cash machines are easy to find.


Transportation

Road
The road network is in good condition. The headlights of vehicles must be on 24 hours a day. It is necessary to pay attention to the numerous cyclists in the cities, to whom you must yield priority at intersections. Speed is limited to 50 kph in cities, 80 kph on main roads, and from 90 to 120 kph maximum on highways.

Rail
Good service, from the connection by bridge between Fionie and Seeland. The domestic network is well developed.

Languages spoken

Official language: Danish. Commercial languages: English, German, Danish. It is important to note that French is not used very often in this country. However, it is spoken in many of the larger, better-known hotels as well as in restaurants and certain shops.
